AURA PLATFORM TERMS
1. About AURA
AURA is a booking and practice management platform operated by AIAPS and distributed through Black Aesthetics. By registering as a practitioner or using AURA to book appointments, you agree to these terms.
2. Practitioner accounts
- You must be a qualified practitioner operating legally in the United Kingdom
- You are responsible for the accuracy of your profile, treatments, and pricing
- You must keep your login credentials secure
- AURA is free for practitioners. We reserve the right to introduce optional paid features with notice
- Your account may be suspended if you breach these terms or misuse the platform
3. The ยฃ1 booking levy
A fee of ยฃ1.00 per completed booking is automatically deducted at the time payment is processed via AURA. This levy is what keeps the platform free for practitioners. It is non-refundable and applies to all bookings processed through AURA's payment system.
4. Payments and deposits
- Payment processing is handled by Stripe. AURA does not store card details
- Deposit amounts are set by the practitioner and charged to clients at time of booking
- Refund and cancellation policies are set by individual practitioners โ AURA is not responsible for disputes between practitioners and clients
- AURA charges a payment processing fee in line with Stripe's standard rates
5. Consent forms
- Consent form templates are provided as a convenience tool. Practitioners are solely responsible for ensuring their consent forms are clinically appropriate and legally compliant
- AURA stores consent form records securely but is not a clinical records system and should not be used as the sole repository for clinical documentation
- We recommend practitioners maintain independent backup records
6. Client data and GDPR
Practitioners using AURA act as a data controller for their clients' personal data. AIAPS acts as a data processor. By using AURA, you agree to:
- Handle client data in accordance with UK GDPR
- Have a lawful basis for processing client personal data
- Respond to client data access or deletion requests
- Not export client data for purposes outside of your own practice management
7. Prohibited use
You must not use AURA to:
- Offer treatments you are not qualified or insured to perform
- Engage in any fraudulent, deceptive, or illegal activity
- Harvest or scrape data from the platform
- Resell or sublicense access to AURA
- Upload harmful, defamatory, or infringing content
8. Intellectual property
All intellectual property in the AURA platform โ including its design, code, branding, and content โ is owned by AIAPS. You may not reproduce, copy, or redistribute any part of AURA without written permission.
9. Liability
AURA is a technology platform and is not responsible for the clinical services provided by practitioners. We are not liable for:
- Treatment outcomes or adverse events
- Disputes between practitioners and clients
- Loss of data beyond what is recoverable from our systems
- Indirect, consequential, or loss of profit damages
Our total liability is limited to the fees paid by you to AURA in the preceding 12 months.
10. Caratfill launch offer
The free 1ml Caratfill offer is available to eligible practitioners who complete their first booking through AURA. Black Aesthetics reserves the right to withdraw, amend, or substitute this offer at any time. The product will be dispatched by Black Aesthetics to the registered address. One offer per practitioner account.
11. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. We will notify registered practitioners by email of significant changes. Continued use of AURA after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the new terms.
12. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
